A 12:1 RATIO OF ACRYLAMIDE:BAC IS RECOMMENDED FOR DNA PURIFICATION. A ONE GRAM SLICE OF A 4% GEL WILL DISSOLVE IN 5 ML OF 100 MM DTT, TBE SOLUTION (PH 8.3) IN LESS THAN 30 MIN THE PH OF 8.3 IS OPTIMUM FOR RAPID DISSOLUTION OF THE GEL
